About ASEAN SME Academy

Pada Maret 2014, The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) dan US-ASEAN Business Council (US-ABC) meluncurkan Aliansi Bisnis US-ASEAN untuk Usaha Kecil dan Menengah yang Kompetitif. Kemitraan publik-swasta yang inovatif ini telah melatih lebih dari 7.000 pemilik usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) dengan memanfaatkan keahlian kelas dunia yang ditawarkan oleh perusahaan-perusahaan anggota US-ABC di berbagai bidang seperti Pemasaran dan Manajemen Bisnis, Keuangan, Hukum, Logistik, dan Teknologi Informasi. Aliansi Bisnis ini memiliki mitra yang telah mengembangkan media pelatihan online berupa ASEAN SME Academy (Akademi) yang akan menjangkau lebih banyak UMKM.

Sebagai platfom resmi ASEAN, website ini merupakan inisiatif bersama antara US-ABC dan the ASEAN Coordinating Committee for MSMEs (ACCMSME). Akademi dikelola bersama oleh US-ABC ,the Bureau of SME Development, Philippines Department of Trade and Industry (BSMED – DTI) dan the Philippines Trade Training Centre – Global MSME Academy (PTTC – GMEA).

Kegiatan utama Akademi adalah memberikan rangkaian materi pelatihan dari perusahaan-perusahaan Fortune 500 melalui kursus-kursus untuk UMKM. Akademi ini menggabungkan materi pelatihan yang berfokus pada UMKM dengan materi dari sektor publik dan privat. Serangkaian kursus yang disusun secara khusus ini merupakan bagian dari program yang lebih besar untuk meningkatkan akses UMKM ASEAN ke produk keuangan, pasar regional dan internasional, layanan informasi dan konsultasi, serta teknologi dan inovasi.

Akademi ini juga berisi informasi bisnis yang sangat relevan untuk UMKM di kawasan, yang menyediakan akses ke direktori penyedia layanan yang disusun secara khusus dan dapat dihubungi untuk saran keuangan, pembuatan program, dan pengembangan jaringan. Akademi menyediakan kalender acara untuk memberi pengguna lebih banyak informasi tentang berbagai pelatihan dari Aliansi Bisnis dan layanan pengembangan bisnis di kawasan. Pengguna Akademi dapat mengembangkan profil pengguna saat pertama kali masuk untuk memfasilitasi akses pengguna ke materi khusus industri mereka dan tautan ke dukungan bisnis yang ada. Informasi dan kursus-kursus yang tersedia akan diterjemahkan secara selektif ke dalam bahasa-bahasa lokal di ASEAN untuk memperluas akses bagi UMKM untuk memanfaatkan Akademi.

In March 2014, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the US-ASEAN Business Council (US-ABC) launched the US-ASEAN Business Alliance for Competitive Small and Medium Enterprises (Business Alliance). This innovative public-private partnership has trained over 7,000 small and medium enterprise (SME) owners utilizing the world-class expertise offered by US-ABC corporate members in areas such as Marketing and Business Management, Finance, Legal, Logistics, and Information Technology. The Business Alliance partners have now also developed an online training tool, the ASEAN SME Academy (Academy), that will reach many more SMEs.

The Academy is an official ASEAN platform, and a joint initiative between US-ABC and the ASEAN Coordinating Committee for MSMEs (ACCMSME). The Academy is co-administered by US-ABC, the Bureau of SME Development, Philippines Department of Trade and Industry (BSMED – DTI) and the Philippines Trade Training Centre – Global MSME Academy (PTTC – GMEA).

The core of the Academy is a series of training materials for SMEs from Fortune 500 companies. In addition, the Academy incorporates training materials focused on SMEs from regional firms and international organizations. This curated set of courses is part of a larger program to provide training and mentorship to enhance ASEAN SME’s access to financial products, regional and international markets, information and advisory services, and technology and innovation.

The Academy also contains business information that is particularly relevant for regional SMEs, providing access to a curated directory of service providers to whom they can reach out for financial advice, corporate programs, and networking. The Academy provides a calendar of events to give users more information about training from the Business Alliance and business development services in the region. Users of the Academy will develop a user profile when first logging on to facilitate users’ access to materials specific to their industry and links to existing business support. The information and resources will be selectively translated into the local languages to expand the group of firms that can benefit from the Academy.

Berbagai materi dan kursus di dalam ASEAN SME Academy dibuat oleh 21 kontributor Akademi. 21 kontributor tersebut terdiri dari 17 perusahaan global dan 4 organisasi publik internasional.

Dengan berbekal keahlian di bidangnya masing-masing dan pengetahuan di skala global, kursus-kursus di Akademi dibagi ke dalam enam kategori: Pemasaran, Manajemen Bisnis, Operasi Bisnis, Teknologi, Perdagangan dan Logistik, serta Keuangan dan Akuntansi. Pada Mei 2023, diluncurkan satu lagi segmen baru di Akademi, yakni Business Continuity and Resilience (BCR) yang berfokus pada resiliensi dan transformasi bisnis pasca-pandemi COVID-19, agar bisnis menjadi lebih siap menghadapi tantangan dan krisis di masa mendatang.

All the resources and courses in the ASEAN SME Academy is made by the 21 contributors of the Academy. Those 21 contributors is made up of 17 global companies and 4 international public organizations.

With expertise in their sectors and world-class knowledge, the courses in the Academy is divided to six categories: Marketing, Business Management, Operations, Technology, Trade and Logistics, and Finance and Accounting. On May 2023, another new segment of the Academy was launched, the Business Continuity and Resilience (BCR) tab that focuses on business resiliency and transformation post-pandemic to future-proof businesses to the coming challenges and crisis in the future.

Semua kursus yang tersedia dapat diakses secara gratis kapanpun dan dimanapun Anda berada.

Setelah Anda menyelesaikan kursus, Anda akan mendapatkan sertifikat sebagai bukti belajar. Beberapa kursus khusus juga tersedia dalam bahasa lokal ASEAN.

There are more than 110 courses from 21 providers available at the ASEAN SME Academy. The courses are divided into six thematic categories: Marketing, Business Management, Operations, Technology, Trade and Logistics, and Finance and Accounting. There is also one special tab on Business Continuity and Resilience. All of the courses are free to access anytime, anywhere.

After you finished your courses, you will get a certificate as a proof of your learning. Selected courses are also available on ASEAN local languages.
